These oil bottles were protected with straw and woven basketry to keep them from breaking as they were carried to the press. 

• Found in a flea market in Haut Loire, near Lyon. 
• Vintage glass oil bottle with woven basket.
• Hand woven of natural rattan.
• Basket 13.5″ H |  Overall 26″ H | 19″ Dia

Bottles are sold at wholesale with basket intact.  When you cut off the top of the basket, the bottle is revealed inside as shown in the images.
